 I could use some advice, ladies!

I work in a relatively small office (about 15 people) and I'm close to 2 of my co-workers. I really want to invite them to the wedding, but I also don't want them to be talking about it around the office. My other coworkers know I'm engaged. I know some people say invite everyone or no one from work, but if I'm close to 2 people and only acquaintances with others, that doesn't seem right.

What do you think? Your advice is very much appreciated :)

 If you're close with the two then invite them.  Don't do any wedding talk at the office and (if you're positive that you're going to invite the two) ask the two you invite to not say anything to the rest of the group.  I think if you don't say anything about the wedding and change the subject when it comes up at work then you won't be getting many inquiries about the invites.

  I too work in a small space and could not invite everyone. I was initially going to invite just the teacher that I am closest to and she agreed not to mention anything. I went and spoke to my boss (she is very sweet and already told me I didn't have to invite her) and I told her that we couldn't accommodate the staff and she totally understood.  The work people are throwing me a work shower ( they decided that) and I wrote a nice note and invited them to the shower my sister is throwing for me. I know it is against all the rules, but I felt it would be ok.  The note said something like..

" During this exciting time, we are limited to the number of guests we can extend wedding invites to. But, I wanted to invite you to my family shower as you are all considered family."

I cant remember exactly, but I think it went over well! Good luck!!
